The Roberts Antenna



The Roberts Antennas were the antennas used by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to evaluate electromagnetic interference (EMI) from electronic devices at its laboratories in Laurel, MD. They were designed by Willmar Roberts at the FCC and were designated as Reference Antennas in US National Standards. The ones shown here were marketed by Compliance Design, and methods used to construct and test them are described in US Patent No. 4719699, Reference Antennas for Emission Detection.
